Based on Tom Michel's 2016 memoir, the true story of his time as a British teacher who takes a job in 1976 at a prestigious boarding school in a divided Argentina. He finds his life transformed when he rescues an orphaned penguin from an oil slick on a Uruguay beach.
On cleaning him up and taking him back to the beach, the penguin refuses to return to the ocean. Tom's only option is to smuggle him across the border into Argentina and the boarding school he calls home. Juan Salvador the penguin then has to win the hearts of everyone he meets.
Starring Steve Coogan and Jonathan Pryce and of course the wonderful penguin - who steals the show!
