Lazy Girls Film Club presents...

The celebrated Canadian filmmaker, actor, and essayist Sarah Polley (Away From Her, Take This Waltz, Women Talking) directs this unique documentary tracing her parents’ relationship and examining her mother’s complex identity.

Through interviews with family members and friends, archive footage, photos, and Super-8 films, this riveting investigation develops into a thoughtful meditation on the importance and fallibility of memory. As Polley uncovers unexpected revelations and conflicting accounts, we are prompted to reflect on the nature of storytelling and the ways in which we know (or fail to know) those closest to us.

Before the film, Lazy Girls Film Club will host a zine-writing workshop 'Do you remember? XOXO' at 4pm earlier in the day (booked separately) in collaboration with Story Time. Through prompts and play, Lily Gutierrez will guide you in creating a personal zine based around the theme of memory.
