Part of National Cinema Days Weekend celebrating and suppporting communal film watching and independent cinemas in August.
We are proud to screen this classic comedy starring Virgina McKenna and Bill Travers as Jean and Matt, a young couple who inherit a debt-ridden old movie theatre, appropriately nicknamed "The Flea Pit".
Unfortunately for them the cinema comes complete with three comically incompetent and eccentric senior citizens who work there. Jean and Matt plan to sell The Flea Pit to cash in their inheritance, but things don't go quite to plan!
Also starring Peter Sellers, Margaret Rutherford and cameos from British comedy favourites Sid James and Leslie Phillips. A nostalgic gem and ode to indie cinemas like the Electric Palace!
