Name: Alice Pitts

What prompted you to volunteer at the cinema?       

As a mum of two I didn’t have much of a social life. Volunteering was the perfect excuse for me to escape the house and indulge in my favourite activity; cinema.

How long have you volunteered at the cinema?

Eight months.

What's your favourite thing about the cinema?

The community of volunteers, staff and audience members. I love watching the reactions of the audience and seeing people’s faces as they leave.

What special perk do you love as a volunteer at the Electric Palace?

The film library!

What film would you like to watch at the cinema?

Back to the Future.

Have you ever gone to see a movie and wanted to watch it again immediately?

Many times, but the first time was Bladerunner.

Tell us about favourite film of yours.

Little Miss Sunshine is the perfect mix of chaos, emotion, dark humour and life.

Tell us a good film to watch that makes you laugh out loud or blub your eyes out.

Uncle Buck does both.

What's a great soundtrack you listen to?

La La Land.

What's your favourite snack or drink at the cinema?

A chilled ale and a packet of Revels.

What's your favourite seat?

Two rows from the front, three seats from the left.
