This month, as part of our Art of Action season we are excited to welcome special guest, José Arroyo to share insights into the world of action spectacle and take us on a journey through the best of action-cinema from John Woo to Kathryn Bigelow.
Jose Arroyo is a lecturer at the department of Film and Television Studies at the University of Warwick and editor of 'Action Spectacle: A Sight and Sound Reader'. Should 'High Concept' and will ask, are popcorn movies to be taken seriously on their own terms and in terms of their aesthetics? Is there an art to action cinema - in other words 'the art of action'?
Expect lively debate, interesting clips and onstage interview plus Q&A with Jose and the audience.

'Let's Talk Film' is a social film night at The Electric Palace, a regular space for film fans to meet up in Hastings and discuss all things film!
