Darren is a London born, Hastings artist who has exhibited around the UK for over 20 years. Having trained as an illustrator he produces both colourful maximalist paintings and hand-drawn portraits, often inspired by nostalgia, contemporary culture and fantasy.

Cinema has always celebrated unforgettable faces, portraiture does the same. Legends in Pencil is an exhibition of hand-drawn portraits that pays homage to the timeless beauty and charisma of classic film stars, while honouring the enduring art of capturing a face by hand.
