In light of news of the sale of Hastings Pier....YES the Save Our Pier Fundraising Film Night will still go ahead.
Yes, we may have had a set back, yes it looks bleak, but nothing ever worth fighting for came easy and the fight - for that is what it has become - still goes on. Funds raised tonight will go towards legal costs to over-turn the decision made last week. As Billy Bragg would have said "There Is Power In Our Pier... " Sorry Billy.
If nothing else we'll have a chance to watch the glory days of the pier, wallow in nostalgia and drink the Electric Palace dry. On the other hand, there may be whispered talk of insurrection and battle lines drawn.
Fetch Theatre and The Electric Palace Cinema are pleased to present an evening of film noir featuring local landmarks and, of course, Hastings Pier!
All money raised through ticket sales will go directly to the campaign to bring Hastings pier back in to public ownership. Tickets £10.
