Celia’s Guide to Being A Wife

Celia and a group of willing volunteers from Toxington North explore a hundred years of being a wife from 1918 up the present day. Celia thought she was the perfect wife, but in her older age, she’s not too sure. Interviews, quizzes and testimonials look at what it takes to get the potted rhubarb and the crossword on the table in time and whether it’s even worth the bother.

This thrilling historical talk will celebrate 100 years of some people getting married by looking at compelling events across the years from settling marital disputes on diverse and testing topics such as who should be on a £5 note, to the alleged changing size of the Mars Bar.

Plus: Jo will also present A Quick Look At The History of Voting And Not Voting.
