Director: Michelangelo Antonioni
Cast includes: Vanessa Redgrave, David Hemmings
PRESENTED by Ted Polhemus

A countercultural masterpiece set in the streets of swinging London about the act of seeing and the art of image making. This psychological mystery stars David Hemmings as a fashion photographer who unknowingly captures a death on film after following two lovers in a park.

Antonioni’s intoxicating colour palette breathes life into every frame, and the jazzy sounds of Herbie Hancock, a beautifully evasive performance by Vanessa Redgrave, and a cameo by the Yardbirds make the film a transporting time capsule from a bygone era.

Formative Films invites special guests to present a film that was influential to their lives and to share the reasons for the choice.
