We're inclined to agree!

So we thought it would be an ideal excuse to show off some of the 1975 stone cold classic films! See a selection of iconic titles marking their 50th anniversary this year in our Classic Sundays strand.

From Monty Python and the Holy Grail to Barry Lyndon, and Dog Day Afternoon to Rocky Horror Picture Show, 1975 was an "annus mirabilis" for film, with Jaws (which sadly we cannot screen due to rights issues!) spawning 5 decades of the summer blockbuster!

  • Fright Night: Pirahna Friday 1 August, 7.30pm - Jaws was a 1975 blockbuster, but Pirahna is its little known classic spin off. Enjoy!
  • Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Sunday 10 August, 3pm - an encore screening of the wonderful comedy, back by popular demand!
  • Nashville, Sunday 24 August, 3pm. Altman's classic set in Nashville, with the lives of a variety of individuals from different backgrounds intersecting as they prepare for a gala concert in support of a presidential candidate. 
  • Barry Lyndon - showing in October, booking available soon.
  • Rocky Horror Picture Show - showing in October, booking available soon.
  • Dog Day Afternoon - showing in November, booking available soon.
  • One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (the Oscar winning film of 1975) - showing in December, booking available soon.
