Following the success of last year's Doctor Who event we bring you a Doctor Who Cyberman Special with three classic Cyberman episodes, plus art installation from Project Art Works.
Part of our second TV Festival bringing small screen classics to the big screen in an annual celebration of John Logie Baird whose experiments in early television technology took place right here in Hastings over 100 years ago giving the town the moniker, the Birthplace of Television.
See this selection of episodes that chart the changing face of the Cybermen, from their first appearance in 1966, through to the '70s and 2000s!
- The Tenth Planet - Episode 1: October, 1966 (25 minutes)
- Revenge of the Cybermen - Episode 4 April, 1975 (25 minutes)
- Rise of the Cybermen - Episode 2 May, 2006 (45 minutes)
With thanks to the BFI National Archive for this annual festival of communal TV watching, discussion and reminiscence.
Please note that the rare nature of this screening means we will be screening from BFI archives and original tapes which have not been remastered for home video or iPlayer releases and maybe not meet modern quality standards - but could be more rough and ready!
Wheelchair accessible screening at Project Art Works Trinity Hall:
A wheelchair accessible screening of this event will also take place at Project Art Works Trinity Hall on Saturday, 11 October at 2pm - 4:30pm, with bookings taken for that event via Eventbrite:
