Buddhist Sunday Mornings is curated and hosted by Chris McKenna, local buddhist practitioner. He also programmes our annual Electric Buddhist Film Festival, the 2nd largest Buddhist Film Festival in the UK. Before each screening Chris will lead a short meditation and introduction to the film.
Tracing Transcendental Tone is a multiple award-winning feature documentary that follows a pilgrimage through India, a land of many faiths, including Vedanta, Islam and Buddhism. A journey of discovery into spiritual sound, music and deep listening across the sacred spaces of India, featuring Buddhist, Sufi and Vedic practitioners. Using striking visual material accompanied by an evocative, multi-layered soundtrack, the audience is taken on a unique sonic journey through the sacred sound practices of many of the world's key religions.
Plus short film 'Shamanic Dancer' and Q and A with director and hosted by Chris McKenna.
