16 May at 3pm will be a relaxed screening.

After losing her beloved father, Helen finds herself saved by an unlikely friendship with a stubborn hawk named Mabel. H is for Hawk follows Helen (Foy), who, after the sudden death of her father (Gleeson), loses herself in the memories of their time birding and exploring the natural world together. She turns to the ancient art of falconry, rooted in European tradition, training a wild goshawk named Mabel to navigate her profound loss. But as she teaches Mabel to hunt and fly free, Helen discovers how deeply she has neglected her own emotions and life. What begins as an act of endurance transforms into an intimate journey of resilience and healing.

"Claire Foy is heartbreaking: steely and stoic in the stiff-upper-lip tradition yet thoroughly conscious of her sorrow", Roger Ebert.com

A relaxed screening is where people can watch a film in a relaxed environment. The lights are low instead of completely off, so you can still see where you're going. The volume is a little lower than a standard screening and you can move around the cinema freely as you wish during the screening. You can leave the cinema room during the screening and return without having to worry. You can make noise, stim, and enjoy yourself.
There is a friendly atmosphere and there are people around if you need any help.

These screenings are for anyone who would feel safe and welcome there. At Electric Palace, we think the cinema should be for everyone, that's why we offer relaxed screenings.
