Emma Stone plays a cold and heartless CEO who is kidnapped and accused of being an alien in this dark and schlocky class-warfare thriller. An English language remake of the 2003 South Korean film 'Save the Green Planet!, Bugonia's pitch-black comedy dives into the world of conspiracy theories. 

It's director Lanthimos’  best film in years, featuring all of the technical prowess and world-class performances you'd expect from one of his movies and overflowing with rich ideas.

This is a movie with a lot to say, all of it smart and important. It’s a challenging, creative work of art that hums at its own unique frequency, blending dark comedy, horror, and drama to make something wholly new.

At its core is a painful, complicated tale about life, existence, trauma, capitalism, conspiracies, family, purpose, and modern life. All of which are in deep conversation with one another. The result is a stunning, beautiful, sad film.
