We look forward to welcoming you to the Electric Palace cinema in Hastings Old Town, with our ticket price of just £5 for most screenings, for young people aged 21 and under (with ID).

Choose from film screenings including 11am Thursday screenings, Pride events and upcoming 'Out on Tuesday' LGBTQIA-themed Tuesday night films, and all sorts of special live events you won't want to miss. And did you know we run monthly B Movie Fan Club screenings, and the Hastings Punk Choir meets at the cinema every Monday night? All welcome.

Hope you can make a date to take in the wonder of cinema, but for a price that won't break your student budget!

Student Saturdays 2023

Join us this Autumn and Winter for a series of modern film classics, directed by those influenced by the 1940s and 1950s filmmaking duo Powell and Pressburger.

Exclusive Extra: One of the surprise extras is an exclusive peek at Turlo Griffin's illustrations and sketches for Wes' set designs inspired by Hastings locations!
Turlo Griffin is a Concept Artist and Matte Painter, who has worked on several Wes Anderson productions including Moonrise Kingdom, The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar and his most recent Asteroid City.

Locally produced film podcasts

As part of local students' involvement in curating the events, they will be recording and releasing four podcasts focused on each of the upcoming Student Saturday events. We'll share the links when they're live!
