Live Theatre Reading
First Heard Theatre
New work from local playwrights performed live - this month covering polyamory and suicide!
Cast includes: TBC
‘First Heard’ is a monthly play reading event featuring new works by local playwrights, performed by professional actors. At the end of every play there is an honest Q&A with the writer and all money raised from ticket sales goes towards the actors’ time.
This month we have two short plays, skating over suicide, sex and suppression.
On Beachy Head finds a man at the end of his tether - and at the edge of a cliff. But before the rocks below can beckon his descent, a stranger intervenes, bringing promises of a better life.
Polyamory is a blackly comic play about modern relationships. A ménage a trois collapses into catastrophe, as three ‘partners’ question whether a polyamorous arrangement is really the best thing for them.
