/ Jonathan Demme / 1984 / Stop Making Sense plus live gig from Mat Motte / USA
For the finale of our Summer Music Season set of events, hosted by music journalist and comedy writer David Quantick, it's party time at the Electric Palace! Set your Saturday night alight by throwing some shapes at this rare opportunity to see Stop Making Sense on the big screen. The first concert movie made entirely using digital audio techniques, this groundbreaking film parades Talking Heads at the peak of their fame. David Byrne shows off his signature ‘Big Suit’ and leads his watertight troupe through this life-affirming gig. In addition to the screening, the energetic singer and Graham Coxon from Blur's one-time protegee, Mat Motte, will regale you with a short live set, including his blistering cover of Talking Heads’ ‘Psycho Killer’. Dancing encouraged but not essential.

This film is showing at these times please select when you want to go.

Tickets are available in advance online from this website, or on the door.
Doors and the bar open at 7.15pm, screenings start at 8pm.
