Hidden Hastings

FREE 2pm Sunday 28th September 2008

The Electric Palace is holding an afternoon of screenings showing local archive footage. We will be screening rarely seen films of Hastings featuring:

The Fishing Net Industry from 1912-13.
Fisherman Scenes on the Beach, Empire Day and a bi-plane landing on the beach from 1910-20.
Old home movies of Alexandra Park, Hastings Beach and the Open Air Bathing Pool from the 1930's - 50's
Glenn Veness's popular Hastings Tribute Film ‘I Love This Town'

We are also inviting the public to bring along their own old films to screen clips on the day or to add to our new website space for local Archive Films. For screening on the day films should be on VHS or DVD.

All are welcome to this free family friendly event.
