A BAFTA Special

This latest Electric Palace Cinema film programme has been inspired by this years BAFTA nominates and winners.

BAFTA – The British Academy of Film and Television Arts is the leading independent charity supporting, developing and promoting the art forms of the moving image - from Film and Television to Video Games and Interactive Media. This years awards ceremony took place on 21 February 2010 to celebrate the very best in film.

Influenced by this we have put together a special Electric Palace film programme featuring many of the impressive selection of nominated and award winning feature films.

Featured films include:

The Road, Its Complicated, Nowhere Boy, Julie and Julia, An Education, Glorious 39, The Hurt locker, A Serious Man, Bright Star.

We have attempted to include as many of the best 2010 BAFTA nominated films as possible but there will be more to follow in our future programmes. Look out for: Precious, Sex, Drugs and Rock and Roll, and The Lovely Bones.

I hope you enjoy them all!
